Higher National Technical Education Certificate (HNTEC) in Information Technology

The Higher National Technical Education Certificate (HNTec) in Information Technology is a 2-Year programme that aims to prepare students as skilled workers in the area of Information Technology. The programme will enable students to gain knowledge and skills in the area of troubleshooting or personal computers, manipulating database, setting up simple networks, create websites and multimedia applications. The programme is in-line with Brunei Vision 2035 to provide the country with the necessary manpower with skills that can contribute towards building Brunei`s economy. It provides graduates with the opportunities to work in the IT industries as Technicians
Entry Requirements
To gain entry into HNTec in Information Technology programme, students must fulfil the minimum entry requirement of a GCE `O`/IGCSE level as follows:
- CREDIT (Grade 1 -6) / (A-C) in Mathematics or Additional Mathematics or IGCSE Mathematics.
- PASS (Grade 1 - 7) / (A-D) in English or IGCSE English as a second language or Literature in English
- CREDIT (Grade 1 - 6) / (A-C) in Computer Science or Physics or Combined Science or Business Studies or Commerce or Chemistry or IGCSE Information and Communication Tehcnology / Computing.
