Diploma in Human Resource Management

This 2.5-year Diploma in Human Resource Management helps you recognise opportunities and take advantage of the transformation. The specially designed program nurtures students with human resource knowledge and skills that emphasise various methods in retaining talented candidates and modifying company rules and policies. Moreover, it fulfils the industrial requirements in several specialist subjects in HR, including employer branding, HR business partners, and change management. Most positions will require you to get involved in multiple functions such as recruitment and selection, training and development, employee relations, contracts of employment, complaints and grievances, employee rights, appraisals, and health and safety.

Entry Requirements

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum of FOUR (4) GCE O Level Credits (Grade A-C), OR - Minimum of FOUR (4) IGCSE (Grade A-C), OR - Minimum of FOUR (4) GCSE O Level (Grade A-C), OR - MAIC Certificate in Business / Creative Design, OR - UMS (*) Certificate in Electronic Media Production/ Certificate in Art and Design [Note: (*) - Applicants using the UMS qualification are subject to approval from the MAIC] - BDTVEC Pre-National Diploma, OR - BDTVEC Skill Certificate 3, OR - National Technical Certificate (NTEC) OTHER EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATIONS ACCREDITED BY BDNAC: - SQA National Certificate, OR - NCC Education International Certificate, OR - NCC Education Level 3 Diploma, OR - Sijil Pelajaran Ugama Brunei (SPUB) (*), OR [Note: (*) Subjected to an interview] - BTEC Level 2 from relevant courses (from IPTS), OR - Any other qualifications accredited by the BDNAC/MKPK FOR MATURE STUDENTS/APPLICANTS: - At least THREE (3) years of working experience in the relevant field with THREE (3) subjects GCE O`Level with Grade 1 -7 / A-D) in any subject, AND - Pass in Interview. - Letter of approval from the employer - CV and written personal statement CREDIT TRANSFER FROM "CERTIFICATE IN BUSINESS" TO "DIPLOMA IN HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT" FOR MODULES: 1. Fundamental of Management 2. Fundamental of Economics 3. Principles of Marketing 4. Fundamental of Entrepreneurship 5. Human Resource Management 6. Introduction to Accounting 7. Business Communication 8. Business Ethics NOTE: - Credit transfer applications must be submitted in Semester 1 and subject to the approval from MAIC. - Total Credit hours eligible for credit transfer from MAIC Certificate in Business is 24 credits.
