The Diploma in Mass Communication is a 2.5-year programme designed to meet the growing demands of the modern media landscape. The new media platforms have a high demand for mass communication graduates, especially for creative content development.

Entry Requirements

GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum of FOUR (4) GCE O Level Credits (Grade A-C), OR - Minimum of FOUR (4) IGCSE (Grade A-C), OR - Minimum of FOUR (4) GCSE O Level (Grade A-C), OR - MAIC Certificate in Business / Creative Design, OR - UMS (*) Certificate in Electronic Media Production/ Certificate in Art and Design Note: (*) - Applicants using the UMS qualification are subject to approval from the MAIC. - BDTVEC Pre-National Diploma, OR - BDTVEC Skill Certificate 3, OR - National Technical Certificate (NTEC) Note: Freshie/Mature students need to get at least a Credit (Grade A-C) in English GCEO`Level /IGCSE (Grade A-C) to enrol in the Diploma in Mass Communication OTHER EQUIVALENT QUALIFICATIONS ACCREDITED BY BDNAC: - SQA National Certificate, OR - NCC Education International Certificate, OR - NCC Education Level 3 Diploma, OR - Sijil Pelajaran Ugama Brunei (SPUB) (*), OR [Note: (*) Subjected to an interview] - BTEC Level 2 from relevent courses (from IPTS), OR - Any other qualifications accredited by BDNAC FOR MATURE STUDENTS/APPLICANT: - At least THREE (3) years of working experience in relevant field with THREE (3) subject GCE O`Level with Grade 1-7 / A-D) in any subject, AND - Pass in the Interview - Letter of approval from employer - CV and written personal statement. CREDIT TRANSFER FROM "CERTIFICATE IN BUSINESS" TO "DIPLOMA IN MASS COMMUNICATION" FOR MODULES: 1. Fundamental of Management 2. Human Resource Management 3. Principles of Marketing NOTE: - Credit transfer applications must be submitted in Semester 1 and subject to the approval from MAIC - Total Credit hours eligible for credit transfer from MAIC Certificate in Business is 06 credits.
