Tamhidi in Science of Halal & Agriculture
Study level : FoundationProgramme : UNISSA
The program aims to equip students with essential skills of Halalan Thayyiban (pure and wholesome) principles, ensuring that agricultural practices and production align with Islamic guidelines, focusing on ethical treatment of animals, food safety, and environmental sustainability.
- To equip students with essential Tahmhidi in Sciences of Halal and Agriculture knowledge and skills to meet the needs and expectations of prospective employers in the public and private sectors in the country (Brunei Darussalam).
- Facilitate a smooth transition for students of KIGS to undergraduate programme at UNISSA.
- To provide a succession education path to our current students and for O-level candidates.
- To provide higher learning opportunities to working adults who may wish to pursue their tertiary education on a part time basis.
- To provide higher learning opportunities to (local and foreign) potential candidates with relevant qualification.
Entry Requirements
PRIMARY ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Must pass Sijil Sekolah - Sekolah Rendah Ugamq (SSSRU) or its equivalent.
- At least Credit six (C6) in Mathematics in GCE O`Level or IGCSE or its equivalent.
- At least Credit six (C6) in English in GCE O`Level OR IGCSE OR an IELTS 6.0 OR TOEFL minimum 550 or its equivalent.
- Specially for TSHA program: At least Credit six (C6) in Chemistry, Biology, or Combine Science at GCE O`Level.
NOTE
- Applicants without at least Credit six (C6) in Mathematics and English in GCE O`Level or IGCSE or its
equivalent are required to take Mathematics Proficiency Test (MPT) and English Proficiency Test (EPT).
- Applicants need to pay for the MPT and EPT and to refer to KIGS for amount of fee incurred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- At least one (1) GCE A`Level (i.e. Minimum Grade D), OR
- At least a Pass (Makbul) Grade in the Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Ugama Brunei (STPUB), OR
- At least five (5) Credits in GCE O`Level (Including at least Credit six (C6) in Chemistry, Biology, or Combine Science
at GCE O`Level), OR
- At least pass in Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Ugama Brunei (SPUB) OR
- BDTVEC Skill Certificate Level 3, OR
- National Technical Education Certificate (NTEC) of relevant fields with minimum CGPA 3.0, OR
- Pearson BTEC Diploma Level 3 in relevant fields (from IPTS), OR
- SCQF National Certificate Level 3 in relevant fields, OR
- Other equivalent qualifications accredited by the BDNAC/MKPK
