« Fire Marshall Training Certifications
A total of 22 participants from Kolej IGS received their Fire Marshall Training Certifications. The three-day course was conducted by s Station Officer from the Fire and Rescue Department at Balai Bomba & Penyelamat Berakas, Lapangan Terbang Lama from February 13th till 15th. Participants were briefed on the causes of fire, proper use of firefighting equipment, procedures on evacuating a building and prevention of fire. They were also briefed on procedural steps such as how to take action during a fire as well as systematic evacuation, the proper procedure in using a fire extinguisher and fire blanket and how to save themselves when trapped in a building during a fire. The skill sets learnt are not only applicable in the working environment, but are also beneficial to the public in the case of any fire related emergencies.
